Antwerp-based artist Charlotte De Cock has built a distinctive artistic practice that spans painting, installation, public art and music. She gained widespread recognition with The Thirteen Masters, a series of life-sized portraits celebrating thirteen Antwerp icons and artists, including Luc Tuymans. Her work has also been exhibited internationally, including at the Tokyo Biennale with Hyper Nova.

While painting remains at the heart of her practice, Charlotte occasionally extends her artistic vision into the public realm. In 2019, she painted the monumental containers at Rock Werchter as part of the North West Walls project. She also transformed two WAVE buildings into public artworks with Sorry Bloemen and the iconic giant mushrooms at Sint-Jansvliet, both of which have become recognisable landmarks in Antwerp's urban landscape.

Charlotte has been part of WAVE's story from the very beginning. She designed the WAVE logo and has created artwork on several of our buildings, helping shape a visual identity that reflects creativity, character and a deep connection with the city. Her work perfectly embodies WAVE's belief that buildings can be more than architecture; they can become canvases that enrich the neighbourhood and inspire the people who pass by.
